Hilltown Families is a grassroot communications network for families in Western Massachusetts. HF is a source of information on local resources, family wellness and community action, giving local families a forum to network and explore issue of family wellness and community stability. The website provides ample documentation on Participatory 3D Modelling (P3DM), an efficient tool for merging indigenous technical knowledge and traditional spatial information. P3DM applications include community-based natural resources management, collaborative research and planning, safeguarding intangible cultural heritage, resource use, control and tenure, and related conflict management.

Action for a Better Community (ABC) is a leader in encouraging, supporting, and developing self-sufficiency among low-income families in Monroe County. They provide these families with childcare and education, job training and job placement, and other community services such as crisis intervention and energy conservation programs.
